The eighth edition of the “100 km dei Campioni” began at the MotoRanch in Valentino Rossi. The 40 drivers present, including the list is available here, have already been able to take advantage of several 20-minute free practice sessions to familiarize themselves with the dirt track of Tavullia, divided into two groups.
During FP1, Franco Morbidelli managed to get the best of Valentino Rossi, Sammy Halbert, Andrea Migno, Luca marini et Marco Bezzecchi, the last two cities continuing on earth the duel that has opposed them all year, separated only by 8 thousandths of a second!

Among the headliners, Alex Rins, Andrea Dovizioso, Jorge Martín et Peter Acosta finished 8th, 11th, 14th and 15th in their group respectively, Francis Bagnaia et Danilo Petrucci 7th and 14th of theirs.
Four qualifying sessions followed (two for each group) at the end of which Luca marini, Elia Bartolini, Franco Morbidelli, Celestino Vietti et Valentino Rossi proved to be the fastest, although grip conditions varied greatly throughout the day, making the times perhaps less meaningful than they appear.

Friday afternoon continued with the Carrera Race, won by Luca marini before Franco Morbidelli, Celestino Vietti, Elia Bartolini, Valentino Rossi, Marco Bezzecchi, Andrea Migno, Ferran Cardus, Xavi Artigas, Alberto Surra, Andrea Dovizioso, Mattia Pasini, Álex Rins and Sammy Halbert. This is an elimination race, where the bottom 4 are disqualified until the bottom 4 remain in the grand finale.
Today will take place the “100 km dei Campioni 2022”, where the pairs of riders take turns every 5 laps on the handlebars of their own motorcycle.
