24 Hours: Mike di Meglio in the lead

Four hours from the finish, the GMT94 driver completed an extraordinary stint which now allows him to occupy first position.

At the end of the morning, around 11 a.m., Mike came flying back to Kohta Nozane, the two racing at Le Mans in the 24 Hours for the first time. From 16 seconds at the 10 hour ranking, the gap dropped to 4 seconds an hour later. That is to say, di Meglio could now see his Japanese rival very clearly on the pit straight.

He came back to within a second of the YART bike, but pushed Osamu Deguchi by overtaking him on the inside, sending the Japanese from the Trixk Star team, then in the top 10, onto his stomach in the gravel trap. .

Mike joined Kohta Nozane, then overtook him at 11:08.

On the side of Randy de Puniet, third place was in sight, but strong resistance from the SERT Suzuki was to be expected. For example, we see in the video below Mathieu Ginès, Randy's teammate, overtaking Vincent Philippe, but then the GSX-R will stay stuck to the rear wheel of the ZX-10R.
