24H Motorcycles:
During the final quarter of the 48th edition of the 24 Heures Motos, tension mounted on the Bugatti circuit. After 21 hours of racing, the battle for victory was once again wide open.
Leading since the night, the No. 11 Kawasaki of Webike Trickstar saw its lead evaporate after Mike Di Meglio crashed at La Chapelle. While the rider was able to get back on track quickly, the bike lost two laps during a forced pit stop to repair the damaged handlebar.
This stroke of luck reduced the gap at the front to just one lap on the No. 7 YART Yamaha, completely restarting the race with less than three hours to go.. Behind, the fight for the last step of the podium rages between the two official BMWs, the n°6 and the n°37, separated by only a few seconds.
The No. 1 Suzuki from Sert also regained some momentum at the end of the race. Despite an early race marked by three successive crashes by its riders, the Yoshimura SERT Motul machine didn't give up. Étienne Masson put in a high-flying stint at the end of the morning, allowing the Sarthe team to move up to 6th place in the general classification after overtaking the No. 55 Honda, leader of the Superstock category.
A few drops of rain were reported on the track in the afternoon, forcing drivers to exercise caution. Teams are therefore closely monitoring the evolving conditions.
Superstock:
In Superstock, the No. 55 Honda of National Motos FMA maintains the lead in the class, with a solid seventh place overall. The No. 41 Honda, second in the class, suffered a mechanical issue but was able to restart thanks to the quick intervention of its mechanics.
