As at every Grand Prix since the start of the season, Hervé Poncharal is kind enough to share with us his vision of the last Grand Prix.

After having declared to us his total confidence in its engines Yamaha , and shared with us his emotion at Mugello, he tells us here his admiration for the race achieved by Johann Zarco.

Hervé, Johann Zarco had a superb race in Italy, right?

Hervé Poncharal: “Oh p….!” »

Finally, both had a great race; Baldassarri too…

“Yes but Baldassarri is nowhere in the championship. He is young and he is at home in Italy, so he can take all the risks. But Zarco had an opportunity. Lowes was a little behind, Rins too; he could have won, but despite everything, he won in the fight. It was very, very beautiful. A bit like Lorenzo and Marquez. Marquez said in a press conference that he was no longer thinking about the championship, and Lorenzo, when he was second, could have said to himself “despite everything, I’m getting a good deal”.

No, Johann ran a great champion's race combining intelligence and aggressiveness. A race like we like to see when the drivers give their all, and that's what is sometimes lacking for some. He really had a very, very good race. Very very beautiful. We found the Johann we saw last year, whether in Barcelona or during certain other races where he was very impressive. Gorgeous. »
