The only representative of the MotoGP category during these 8 Hours of Suzuka, Jack Miller took stock with MCN by comparing his usual Honda RC 213 V MotoGP with the official CBR 1000 RR of the MuSASHi RT HARC-PRO which he has this weekend.

Author of a fall during the first day of testing, the Australian driver knows how to take the positive side of things by appreciating the fun side of this interlude, while remaining focused on an event in which he has already participated for the same brand.

Jack Miller : “Regarding the electronics, we are also on a Magneti Marelli system here, and the sensations are quite similar. Besides that, it's pretty nice to ride this thing. It has less power and it doesn't try to tear your back every time you come out of a corner, and that makes riding a little easier: I'm happy to ride it, and not a MotoGP for eight hours!

The gearbox is a big difference for me, as there is a lot of jerk in the standard box and the shifts are slower. But it's a lot of fun, because the bike moves around a lot. The Bridgestone tires work very well, and the feeling is quite similar to what we had in MotoGP in 2015, which I'm happy with. You can rock the bike, slide it, but the tire still lasts.

It's good to be back on a bike and the feeling is good. We did decent times in the morning session on the worn tires, which I was happy with. In the afternoon I did a decent lap, then slowed down and set off again. I lit two sectors red and crashed, which wasn't ideal, but it was my first crash on the bike and I'm glad I did it before the race! »

This morning, no one could help but notice that Jack Miller did not take part in qualifying, giving way to Takumi Takahashi and Takaaki Nakagami...
