The 2025 Bol d'Or continues to be written with a muscular Q2 which saw the French driver Étienne Masson, on the Suzuki Yoshimura SERT Motul, put in a dazzling performance by breaking the 1'51 barrier for the first time on the Circuit Paul Ricard, setting a time of 1'50.932. This time helped his team to secure pole position and five precious points in the fight for the world endurance title.

Divided into four 20-minute heats, the Bol d'Or qualifications are decided by the average of the two best times of the regular drivers of each machine, wearing blue, yellow, red or green armbands.

Q2 got off to a fast start, with Markus Reiterberger (BMW Motorrad) setting a record of 1:50.023 before being overtaken by Masson. The Frenchman thus confirmed Suzuki's dominance in endurance racing, with Yamaha and BMW close behind in the top three. Behind them, Marvin Fritz (Yamaha YART), Corentin Perolari (Honda TSR), and other talented riders like Steven Odendaal and Loris Baz stood out with close times.

Several teams also shone in their respective categories: Wójcik Racing dominated in Superstock, followed by Champion-MRP-Tecmas and Team Étoile. In Production, the Moto Revue Moto Journal team was the fastest, ahead of Green Team and Moto Ain.

The red group showcased the talent of Leandro Mercado (AutoRace Ube Racing), who took the lead ahead of Dan Linfoot and Sylvain Guintoli. The green group was dominated by Robin Mulhauser, who put in solid performances for Yamaha YART. This positioning solidifies the positions ahead of a crucial Saturday, as the 24-hour race will begin early in the afternoon, around 15:00 p.m.
