The Coupe de France Promosport took place last weekend on the hilly Pau–Arnos circuit.. This was the penultimate meeting of the exciting championship bringing together amateurs from various disciplines.
Very fit at the Ring of the Rhine, Lotaire Hemmer, on Yamaha, takes victory in race 1 and thus delays the title of Benjamin Fontanelle in Promosport 1000, also driving an R1. Gino De La Rosa (Honda) completes the podium in the first round. It was only a matter of hours: After a controlled championship, Fontanelle won the title by finishing fourth in race 2. In fact, the latter made an error at the start of the race but managed to get back on the right path. Hemmer won again, ahead of Cyril Eruam and his Suzuki. Maxime Gucciardi closes the podium.
Race 1 of the Promosport 600 was one of the highlights of the weekend. Ludovic Rizza et Kilian Aebi, respectively on Yamaha and Suzuki engaged in a Dantesque duel before falling on the last lap! So, it is the Yamaha of Cyril Gignaca who climbed to the highest step of the podium, miraculously it must be said. Rizza finishes second and limits the damage while Samuel Trueb completes the podium of this crazy round. It is also the latter who wins the jackpot in race 2, having been run without Kilian Aebi
yet second in the championship. Rizza et
Tom Rochard finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.
In Sidecar Promo, the races follow one another and are similar.
Ted et Vincent Peugeot, leaders of the championship, won well ahead of the duo
Léglise/Farnier, equipped with an F2 (short chassis).
Paqueriaud/Lafarge finished in third place. In fact, the pair Perillat/Arifon was forced to go through the pit lane after a collision with a latecomer. Few changes in race 2:
Peugeot et Peugeot win in front of their teammates and rivals in the championship
Perillat/Arifon. Elsa and Angélique of Team
Léglise/Farnier completes the podium. The statistics are frightening: 100% victories for chassis and engines prepared by Perillat Motorsport & Classic, as well as 100% victories and pole positions for Ted et Vincent Peugeot. Can they finish the year undefeated? Response shortly to Lédenon.
What crazy races! The Promo 500 Cup is no exception to the rule. In race 1, a formidable five-way battle takes place
Patrice Di Gregorio impose oneself in front
William Zimmerman et Baptiste Vaucher, all on Honda. Despite a magnificent race,
Nicolas Maincent et Emmanuel Lentaigne are not on the podium. However, it is a Lentaigne revanchist who crossed the line in the lead during race 2. By Gregorio et
Vaucher could do nothing to contain it.
The young talent Diego Poncet dictated its law in race 1 of the Promosport 400. No one could keep up with the pace set by the #36 Kawasaki, not even its closest rival in the championship
Alexy Negrier. Oreste Baze
finished on the podium. The latter won race 2 in the most beautiful way ahead of the surprising Justine Pedemonte et Alexy Negrier. Diego Poncet finished fourth and gave the impression of managing his lead.

Diego Poncet's Kawasaki. At only 15 years old, the young driver impresses, like many other young guns.
The Promosport 125 was not left out. Spectators were able to attend a true masterclass ofEvan Plaindoux (Suzuki) who won by more than 15 seconds in the wet. Enzo Dahmani, also on Suzuki, crossed the line in 2nd place in front Louis Camus, author of a great race. Thunderclap during the second round! The three men on the previous podium fell at the start of the race and left the field open to
Mathieu Dieudonné. Here he signs his first victory in the category. Robin Sautereau et
Gaëtan Prunier follow him, all on Suzuki.
In Discovery Promo, it’s Radouane El Allam who pockets the jackpot, largely winner of Bruno Vaquero Gomez. Jules Boyer finished 3rd in race 1. Xavier Buillard on BMW rebounds from its retirement in race 1 and wins the battle for victory against
El Allam. Jules Boyer scored another third place.
Comes the Promo Master. A huge fall in race 1 led race management to cancel the event.
Bernard Fourcadet was transported by helicopter to the nearest hospital. We all hope for a speedy recovery and a quick return to the circuits. Race 2 actually took place and saw David Colin
impose oneself in front Olivier Ulmann et Lionel Ancelin.
A new round of the Coupe de France rich in emotions, which did not fail to liven up the Pau track. Unfortunately, this serious accident tarnishes a particularly eventful weekend.
