Race :

Needing to bounce back after two mixed weekends at Silverstone and Aragon, Manuel Gonzalez quickly took the lead in the session, with a time of 1:50.835. He then beat the local driver, Celestino Vietti, by six tenths.

A mark that would remain the benchmark until the end of the session, when the Italian clocked a time of 1:50.771 to take the lead. Deniz Öncü and Jake Dixon would each take the lead a few seconds later.

The final sprint began with a yellow flag, caused by Eric Fernandez's crash. Manuel Gonzalez then set a time of 1:50.589, reclaiming the provisional lead. Jake Dixon attempted to come back, but missed out by 40 seconds. Celestino Vietti followed suit a few moments later, also missing out by less than a tenth.

Before the checkered flag, the championship leader retained the lead in the session. Jake Dixon and Celestino Vietti completed the top three. The most recent winner, Deniz Öncü, was also in contention from the start, setting the fourth fastest time. David Alonso, eager to correct his errors after the collision he had with his teammate in Aragon, placed fifth in FP3.

Barry Baltus finished sixth in the session, a much better start than that of his teammate, Aron Canet, who was twelfth in this first timed session.
