The calendar MotoGP 2025 will see the arrival of the Hungarian Grand Prix, but also the occasional presence of the American driver of Hungarian origin Rossi Moore.
The 17-year-old boy participated in the last two rounds of the championship END JuniorGP of Aragon and Estoril Moto2 in 2024, and he was able to make enough of a name for himself there to extend this experience throughout the 2025 season with the MMR team of Massimiliano Morlacchi.
Also supported by the Hungarian Revesz Balint who owns a team of competition trucks and by Massimo rivola which provided him with an Aprilia RSV4 for training last December (the team also participates in the Aprilia RS660 Tropheo), this young rider made his mark in the Northern Talent Cup, then in the USA riding a Suzuki GSX-8R in the Twins Cup last year as part of the MotoAmerica championship.
Fan of Valentino Rossi (he wears the number 92, or 2x46), he aims to achieve three wildcards in the Moto2 world championship this year; Balaton Park, Misano and Valencia.
In the meantime, the Kalex of Rossi MoorThe MMR team's car was presented at the Budapest Motorshow, attracting nearly 50 visitors over three days. The nicknamed samurai unveiled the livery of his Moto2, as well as his new suit and helmet bearing the colors of his sponsors.
He then went to train at the Cremona circuit in Italy, coming within 0,158 seconds of the track record, set by Adrian Huertas during the 2024 WSSP Superpole. This result is all the more impressive as Rossi Moor used Pirelli SC1 tires, while the WSSP Superpole runs on SCX qualifying tires.
It will therefore be an opponent of our two representatives in the category, Johan Gimbert et Lorenzo Fellon.
Rossi Moor : “I received very positive feedback during the two FIM JuniorGP races, contested with the MMR team. I am therefore delighted to continue with the same team in 2025. I believe I have earned this important opportunity and I thank all the staff for the trust they have placed in me. The preparation program will begin soon, thanks to the provision of the Aprilia RSV4 by Massimo Rivola. I will train with great commitment in Spain, where I live with my family and my manager Stefano Favaro. I thank everyone who has made a promising 2025 possible.”
Stefano Favaro : "Rossi Moor deserved a great career opportunity, fully represented by the serious and professional MMR team. The driver will benefit from an optimal environment, ideal for him. The team is made up of high-level personalities, whom I warmly thank. Thanks also to Bálint Révész for the confidence he placed in my work and in the young American."
M. Morlacchi : “Confirming Rossi Moor is a great satisfaction, fueled by the races shared this year in the European Moto2 Championship. Continuing with the solid and promising American rider is an opportunity for the MMR team to succeed, as we have already underlined during the races in Aragon and Estoril, which allowed us to take 3 points in the standings. I am satisfied with the package we will offer him and honored by the interest shown by Massimo Rivola of Aprilia Racing. This fruitful collaboration has the objective, in addition to the full season of FIM JuniorGP to be contested at the highest level, to participate in at least one wild card in the world championship.”
The next private test with Team MMR's Moto2 is scheduled for April 3-5 at the Almería circuit, while the official race debut will take place from May 2-4 at the Estoril circuit.
