Moto2 takes place in Valencia for the final round of the 2025 season. The stakes are incredibly high, as this is the last category of the world championships yet to crown its champion. Two riders are still in contention for the title before the final race. Diogo Moreira is the clear favorite, with a 24-point lead over Manuel Gonzalez, who is racing on home soil. Mathematically, anything can still happen…

Moto2 FP2 for the Valencia Grand Prix represents the final opportunity of the weekend for riders to fine-tune their setups before the start of Qualifying. For Diogo Moreira, this session is crucial. A favorite for the world title, the Brazilian had a poor Friday, failing to advance beyond Q1 after posting the 19th fastest time in practice (the top 14 qualified). At the start of FP2, he put in a series of fast laps, quickly moving to the top of the timesheets.
Number 10, the future MotoGP rider, was overtaken by Sergio Garcia before the final 10 minutes of the session. Then, his direct rival for the title, Manuel Gonzalez, took the benchmark time of 1:32.518.
However, it was Daniel Muñoz who had the final say at the checkered flag, thanks to a time of 1'32.442 set on his last attempt. Izan Guevara and Albert Arenas completed the top three in Moto2 FP2 for the Valencia GP. Manuel Gonzalez finished fourth, ahead of Diogo Moreira in sixth. The Brazilian had a promising session and is finding his form just in time as qualifying approaches.
