Moto2 takes place in Valencia for the final round of the 2025 season. The stakes are incredibly high, as this is the last category of the world championships yet to crown its champion. While the two championship leaders got off to a decent start, the two Fantic riders had a more turbulent beginning. Aron Canet sent Barry Baltus crashing and was penalized with a double long lap for the foul. He ultimately finished 15th, scoring only 1 point. Not enough to catch the number 7 rider, who secured a superb podium finish in the championship.
Up front, there was little suspense in the title race. Manuel Gonzalez never found the key to getting back to the front and challenging for the win. Four laps from the finish, a mechanical problem forced him to retire. This incident allowed Diogo Moreira to clinch the title without even having to finish the race. At the checkered flag, the Brazilian still managed to finish 11th, picking up a few points to further extend his lead over his closest rival.
Victory went to Izan Guevara, who dominated the race from start to finish, resisting successive attacks from Daniel Holgado, the pole-sitter in Valencia. Ivan Ortola completed the podium, two seconds behind the two leaders, never having been able to close the gap.
