Before the start of Q1, there was an announcement this morning in Moto3. After three impressive races earlier this year, Adrian Cruces will officially join CIP Green Power for the 2026 Moto3 season! “We've seen his speed, focus and fighting spirit, and now it's time to take it to the next level together!” The work begins now. Let's make it worthwhile!” communicates the team.
Qualification 1:
The battle for the top positions was tight in Moto3 Q1, where four places were still available to secure a ticket to Q2. However, after the 15 minutes of running reserved for this session, Matteo Bertelle stood out from the rest, with a time of 1:35.077. He beat Nicola Carraro by three tenths. Behind him, Marco Morelli and Cormac Buchanan – also leader of the session at one point – also qualified for Q2.
Qualification 2:
In Qualifying 2, the battle intensified. This weekend's strongman, Joel Kelso, duelled with 2025 champion José Antonio Rueda. The two men battled throughout the session, taking turns trading the fastest time. However, as the checkered flag flew, it was Kelso who took pole position on home soil, less than a tenth behind Rueda. He became the first Australian to take pole position in the smallest class on this circuit.
A few tenths behind, Luca Lunetta completes the front row. Maximo Quiles, after a heavy fall in the morning, sets a time of 1:34.703. He will start from the 9th position on the starting grid.
