It's back to another Moto3 weekend in Italy, and the action begins right away with Practice. Two weeks ago, at Aragon, David Munoz (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) won for the first time this season ahead of rookie Maximo Quiles (CFMoto Aspar Team), who also happens to be Marc Marquez's protégé. Alvaro Carpe (Red Bull KTM Ajo), another rookie to watch, was third on the podium. Carpe's teammate, José Antonio Rueda, still leads the world championship despite finishing eighth at the Aragon Grand Prix. Who will stand out on the Tuscan asphalt? Find out on Sunday afternoon! This morning, José Antonio Rueda, the championship leader, was already the fastest by a fairly large margin.
Even if you already know the outcome of this session, come and relive it with us! Before we begin, here is a table which summarizes the known facts:

BUSY 💨

Angel Piqueras (KTM MT Helmets MSi) strikes first, without waiting. It is followed by David Almansa (Honda Leopard Racing), but there is no doubt that the times will improve. Then, it is the turn of Maximo Quiles to hit! We are still far from the times achieved last year.
Luca Lunetta (Honda Sic58 Squadra Corsica) is still improving, but it's very tight up front. Guido Pini (KTM Liqui Moly Intact GP), a very fast rookie, fell.
Not the best start to Practice for home hero Guido Pini 😱💥

Then it's the turn of Ryusei Yamanaka (KTM MT Helmets MSi) to top the timesheet. The Japanese rider has made significant progress at the start of the season and has already secured a pole position. Pini, just after his crash, reappeared on track but his bike died as he left the pits. What a disappointment: on home soil, he will have to withdraw from Q1 tomorrow afternoon.
Not the homecoming Pini wished for 💔

In the final minutes, the Moto3 field gets excited. David Almansa (Honda Leopard Racing) is now the fastest, but the fall of Vicente Perez causes the yellow flags to be deployed. So no one can improve. David Munoz, who seemed safe, had his lap cancelled and went off the track, which ended his hopes! He will also be in Q1. Maximo Quiles will be there too after being trapped!
In the end, because of this commotion, no one can dethrone David AlmansaThe order of arrival is quite surprising because of the yellow flags at the very end.
