The Portimao circuit in Portugal opens its doors to Moto3 competitors this Saturday for FP2. The end of the season is proving very eventful: in addition to the absence of world champion José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo), there's the impressive return to form of Taiyo Furusato (Honda Team Asia), winner at Sepang two weeks ago and very fast so far. At present, it's very difficult to establish a hierarchy. Yesterday, during FP1, Dennis Foggia (KTM CFMoto Aspar Team) was fastest, which is unusual this season. Then, during a practice session disrupted by rain towards the end, David Almansa (Honda Leopard Racing) distinguished himself ahead of his competitors. Watch out for Maximo Quiles (KTM CFMoto Aspar Team), but also for Adrian Fernandez (Honda Leopard Racing), who was disqualified at Sepang.

Thus, few drivers take to the track initially. Adrian fernandez (Honda Leopard Racing) moves into first place provisionally, but the lap times aren't really significant. Of course, the times improve as the laps go by, just like the track. Angel Piqueras (KTM MT Helmets MSi) does better by a second.

Brian Uriarte (Red Bull KTM AjoJosé Antonio Rueda's replacement also occupies the top positions but cannot beat Piqueras. It's worth noting that he won the JuniorGP championship and the MotoGP Red Bull Rookies Cup this season.
Very strong pace from @AngelPiqueras18 💪

Cormac Buchanan (KTM Denssi BoéAnother crash, just like yesterday. On the final lap, the riders gave it their all, but no one fared better than Piqueras in these difficult conditions. A quiet session that the current second-placed rider in the championship will be happy with.
A save that turned into a crash 😱
