Moto3 Silverstone FP1

But who can stop José Antonio Rueda? The Moto1 FP3 race at Silverstone may provide some answers. Indeed, the Spaniard, a rider for Red Bull KTM Ajo, is unstoppable. When he's the clear favorite, as in Jerez, he easily wins by several seconds. When he struggles a little more, like at Le Mans, he still manages to win thanks to his exceptional flair.. The leader of the general classification, he has already won four times in six races, but he is not the only one to have distinguished himself this year. Angel Piqueras (KTM MT Helmets MSi), two-time winner, is very dangerous despite a crash at Le Mans. Two weeks ago, victory could have been decided between Joel Kelso (KTM Levelup MTA) and David Munoz (KTM Liqui Moly Intact GP), but an attempt to overtake the latter in the final sector gave Rueda the victory.

Even if you already know the outcome of this session, come and relive it with us! Before we begin, here is a table which summarizes the known facts:

For the moment, the weather is kind to the competitors in the smallest category.

Joel Kelso, who could have won at Le Mans, is keen for revenge. He is the first to set a significant time. But others are faster, like David Munoz, or Luca Lunetta (Honda Sic58 Squadra Corsica). Jose Antonio Rueda, the big favorite, is also in the running. David Almansa (Honda Leopard Racing) and the rookie Alvaro Carpe (Red Bull KTM Ajo) are following one another in first place. In short, it's very competitive.

Joel Kelso takes back the reins. But beware of the terrible rookie Maximo Quiles, on pole at Le Mans for only his second Grand Prix. He is formidable. David munoz, he is already flirting with 2'10; the Spaniard has been absolutely formidable for two races. The drivers are not rushing to take to the track, and ten minutes from the end, a sort of timeout takes hold of the Silverstone circuit.

Two minutes from the end, Scott Ogden (KTM CIP Green Power), the local of the stage, ranks first! His lap came out of nowhere, but now everyone is on track with the aim of improving. Moreover, Jose Antonio Rueda does better in the minute. The world championship leader is nine tenths behind his closest pursuer, but David Almansa reduced the gap to half a second.

Finally, Wheel concludes this first session in the lead, ahead of David Almansa et Angel Piqueras. Can he confirm in practice? Answer this afternoon!
