Moto3 Silverstone Practice

But who can stop José Antonio Rueda? The Moto3 practice at Silverstone may provide some answers. Indeed, the Spaniard, riding for Red Bull KTM Ajo, is unstoppable. When he's the clear favorite, like at Jerez, he easily wins by several seconds. When he struggles a little more, like at Le Mans, he still manages to win thanks to his exceptional flair. The leader of the general classification, he has already won four times in six races, but he's not the only one to have distinguished himself this year. Two-time winner Angel Piqueras (KTM MT Helmets MSi) is very dangerous despite a crash at Le Mans. Two weeks ago, victory could have been decided between Joel Kelso (KTM Levelup MTA) and David Munoz (KTM Liqui Moly Intact GP), but an attempt by the latter to overtake in the final sector gave Rueda the victory. This morning, Rueda was already well ahead, half a second ahead of his closest pursuer.

Even if you already know the outcome of this session, come and relive it with us! Before we begin, here is a table which summarizes the known facts:

The weather is always on the side of the Moto3 riders. From the start, David Almansa (Honda Leopard Racing) achieves a time of 2'10, and improves just behind, with a great time! At the same time, Maximo Quiles (KTM CFMoto Aspar Team) suffered a fall. What a start to the season.

Then it's the turn of Luca Lunetta (Honda Sic58 Squadra Corsica) to shine, with the first 2'09 of the weekend! The record is already not far away. But David Almansa answered him.

Jose Antonio Rueda, still very fast, then climbs to first place. The number 99 seems easy. But his teammate Alvaro Carpe does better! The rookie even breaks the lap record! In the final minutes, Joel Kelso is plagued by mechanical problems, which cost him a very good position.

Ultimately, no one can beat the new record mark ofAlvaro Carpe. David Almansa finished second, just ahead of the local Scott Ogden (KTM CIP Green Power), Joel Kelso et Jose Antonio RuedaThe favorites are there.
