Moto3 qualifying has delivered its verdict in Spain, at the temple of Jerez! After three sessions, we know a little more about the hierarchy that governs the field of the smallest of the categories. The first two sessions were largely dominated by José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo), who, with two victories under his belt, can comfortably assume the role of favorite. Adrian Fernandez (Honda Leopard Racing), first in FP2, should not be underestimated, nor Joel Kelso (KTM Levelup MTA), who has been very fast until now. The most surprising thing was undoubtedly the absence of Angel Piqueras (KTM MT Helmets MSi) at the forefront, he who still leads this championship thanks to his two victories in 2025. Everything remains to be done.

Even if you already know the outcome of this session, come and relive it with us! Before we begin, here is a table that summarizes the known facts.

The first quarter of the season promises to be exciting. At first glance, the favorites for promotion are easy to determine: Scott Ogden (KTM CIP Green Power), in the first this morning, should play in front. Just like the black cat Riccardo rossi (Honda Snipers Team), penalized by two mechanical problems yesterday, as well as David Almansa (Honda Leopard Racing). Disaster for Eddie O'shea (Honda GRYD MLav Racing), who is also stuck in the box due to damage.

Luca Lunetta (Honda Sic58 Squadra Corsica) was the first to set a significant time. But the Italian fell on the last bend, which did not help his situation.

Finally, on the last lap, a fall of Nicola Carraro (Honda Snipers Team) traps those who were still chasing a better position. Disaster for the favorites! Lunetta finishes this Q1 in the lead, and will be in Q2 accompanied by Dennis Foggia (KTM CFMoto Aspar Team), Cormac Buchanan (KTM Boé Motorsport), And Vicente Perez.

Here we go for Q2, which is announced just as spicy.

David munoz (KTM Liqui Moly Intact GP) is very fast from the start, but is quickly supplanted by the favorite Jose Antonio Rueda. For the moment, the record of David Alonso The ranking established last year is not about to be beaten. The battle is intense, but the ranking positions remain unchanged.

Joel Kelso, on fire, temporarily takes pole position. But Wheel responds instantly with the first 1'43 of this session. Who can beat that? Only him! Rueda improves his time, which no one seems able to match. But the majority of the players in this Q2 still have one last lap, one last card to play.

In the end, no one can compete and Jose Antonio Rueda therefore achieves pole position! Joel Kelso et David munoz complete the first line, whileAngel Piqueras et Alvaro Carpe (Red Bull KTM Garlic) save the furniture in fourth and fifth place.
