Over the years, the VR46 Academy, created by Valentino RossiVR46 Academy has established itself as the best performance academy on the grid. Supported by Moto3, Moto2, and, since 2021, MotoGP teams, the VR46 Academy continues to promote Italian excellence. Pecco Bagnaia, Luca Marini, Marco Bezzecchi, Celestino Vietti, Franco Morbidelli, and many others have reached the top thanks to their training under "The Doctor." Recently, the group has expanded, and a new talent has joined the ranks.
After the appointment of young Lorenzo Pritelli in September, another Italian has officially joined the VR46 Academy: Leonardo Casadei, only 14 years old, was even able to compete in the last round of the JuniorGP 2025 championship. « Joining the Academy has always been a dream, and it has finally become a reality. Thanks to Vale, Carlo (Carlo Casabianca, director of the academy) and the whole team, I will have the concrete opportunity to work towards reaching the World Championship. I thank my entire family and everyone who helped me achieve this goal, and I am aware that the hardest part begins now. » declared the young wolf.

Carlo Casabianca made no secret of his joy at this new signing. « We are delighted that Leo is joining the academyWe place great importance on the development of young talent and have found in Leonardo the ideal person to build a promising future together.” he continued.
The road ahead will be long for young Casadei, who competed this year in the ESBK Talent Cup, with a fifth-place finish as his best result. Before reaching the required age, he will likely have to cut his teeth in JuniorGP and/or the Red Bull Rookies Cup, the preferred route for riders most recently promoted to the Moto3 championship. The problem is that the competition there is extremely fierce.
