The 2025 MotoGP title is already secured for Marc Marquez, who was crowned champion several weeks ago. His brother Alex, firmly in second place in the championship with a 97-point lead over Marco Bezzecchi, can now focus on another goal—a more personal one, but just as rewarding: the BMW M Award.
Le BMW M Awards, awarded to the driver with the best qualifying performance, has become a trophy almost as prestigious as a podium. And this year, it's becoming a family affair.
Marc dominates the Saturday standings with 351 points and eight pole positions to his name. His little brother Alex is close behind him with 292 points and just one pole, secured in Catalonia. The 59-point gap seems significant, but fate has reshuffled the cards: Marc is injured and is expected to miss at least three Grands Prix, including the Australian Grand Prix.
Suddenly, anything is possible. Three qualifying sessions remain on the calendar, with 75 points at stake. And Alex, freed from the pressure of the championship, intends to take advantage of his brother's absence to turn the situation around.

The Marquez family are competing for a trophy worth 141,000 euros and 530 horsepower
This year, the prize is mouthwatering: the winner will drive away at the wheel of the new BMW M2 CS, a special edition unveiled in May and estimated at €141. Under the hood, an M TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder 530 horses, capable of bringing down the 0 to 100 km / h in 3,8 seconds.
In short, a toy worthy of the brothers' duel. Marquez — a duel where pure speed, this time, is not measured on the finish line… but on the starting grid.
For Alex MarquezThis BMW M Award is more than a bonus: it's a symbolic revenge. The younger brother has never won this prize, always dominated by the top qualifiers - and notably by his brother.
But this season, the roles could be reversed. If Marc stay on the sidelines, Alex has a unique chance to steal his car, literally. The MotoGP loves duels, and this one has it all: two brothers, a title already played... and a BMW M2 CS as loot... We will note in the ranking that a certain fabio quartararo also eyeing the racing car...
