Johann zarco

Johann Zarco has had a… turbulent year. Initially marked by two monstrous results in France and England, our Frenchman then slipped out of the top 10 of the Grands Prix. A rather inexplicable loss of sensation led to numerous falls.which, in turn, resulted in a loss of confidence, and so on. Although he managed to turn things around towards the end with a few top-10 finishes, he ended the year with the most crashes in MotoGP history, and in 12th place overall.

At the end of this very long 2025 season, Johann Zarco opened up about his future in MotoGP. Indeed, he has now secured a place for 2027, something he wasn't necessarily expecting. “In my mind, the new contract I signed is the last one. But when I signed in 2023, I thought 2025 would be my last season.” Then I had a surge of energy which allowed me to say to myself, "Why not two more years?"So maybe now I'll be able to find a new lease of life! You never know  » we read in the columns of crash.net.

Zarco, who is currently the oldest rider on the grid at 35, is still in great shape, as evidenced by his victory at the French Grand Prix. "It's a very technical sport, and experience as well as small details can make the difference. I feel I can still improve in this area. » he added. His qualities as a development rider have long been praised, particularly when he worked for Ducati.

This season, he also made headlines for his comments in Hungary, where he claimed he wasn't receiving the same parts as the factory riders. He seems to have learned from that turbulent period. "What is being negotiated with the Japanese is to try to have a motorcycle at the same level as that of the factory riders, and this throughout the year. But I also accept that if things move a little faster for the factory team, I will adapt. » he concluded.
