Jorge Martin is going through the most difficult year of his life in 2025. It all started during the Sepang tests, where the reigning world champion suffered his first serious injury. Returning to Qatar, he fractured again in his first race after returning. Then, more recently, in Motegi, a mistake at the start of the Sprint put him down again, and made him unavailable for an indefinite period. The new injury is serious, and there is no guarantee that we will see the "Martinator" again by the end of the year. The Spaniard opened up via his Instagram account.
As he continues to recover from his surgery, Jorge Martin shared an inspiring message on his social media. « If there's one thing I've learned, it's that it's the tough times that truly transform us. If we face them with resilience, they make us stronger – that's what life is all about! Thank you to everyone who continues to send us messages and encouragement; every little helps! » he declared.

Martin puts things into perspective, but the situation is serious
Doctor Angel Charte, in charge of patient Martin, recalled how delicate his injury was. "The operation was complex because the fracture had three parts, perfectly assembled thanks to screws fixing the distal middle third and a fixation plate to prevent it from moving. The duration of his convalescence is still unknown; we cannot give a precise date for his return, but he will begin his rehabilitation as soon as possible." he assured, as he evokes Motosan.
His season, also marked by the infamous "Martin affair" that indirectly pitted him against his employer, is one of the most eventful that a driver has experienced in recent history. The Noale-based company has also spoken out about the absence of its champion. « It's a tough blow. The operation went perfectly, but we have to wait and follow the recovery plan with the doctors to find out when he can get back on the bike. He won't be with us at Phillip Island. ».
