The Catalan Grand Prix gave Ducati a sixth consecutive constructors' title, but also a weekend rich in lessons. Between Alex Marquez's victory, Marc's intelligent management, and Pecco Bagnaia's encouraging—but insufficient—comeback, the Borgo Panigale-based company delivered its analysis through the voices of Gigi Dall'Igna and Davide Tardozzi, both on Sky.
Gigi Dall'Igna, the director general of Ducati Corse wanted to put the Catalan Grand Prix into perspective:
« Marc's winning streak had to end sooner or later. We did a great job all weekend. Pecco had a great race, now we have to capitalize on the good things we were able to do on Sunday and this weekend. I'm confident, convinced that we will be able to perform well with him before the end of the year »
Regarding the GP25 of bagnaia, Dall'Igna confirmed an important technical choice:
« We used a slightly different swingarm than in previous races; It's a swingarm that everyone uses, and it's more or less in line with the other riders' swingarm on the GP25. We need to analyze the data and see »
The Ducati team manager Davide Tardozzi for his part, wanted to salute the weekend of the youngest of the brothers Marquez :
« Well-deserved congratulations to Alex Marquez who, despite his mistake yesterday in the race, dominated the weekend in terms of speed. He deserved the victory. Compliments come from the entire Ducati team. »

Davide Tardozzi on Marc Marquez: " A great champion also knows when it is time to lose »
Speaking on Marc Marquez, beaten but still solid leader of the championnat :
« Marc showed that he has improved in race management : speed is undeniable, a great champion also knows when it's time to lose. He lost to a fast rider on this track. »
For Tardozzi, the rise of bagnaia deserves to be recognized, but remains insufficient:
« We changed the swing arm from Pecco to help him gain grip. He found a different rear and finished fifth in the warm-up. I think his seventh place, starting from twenty-first, is pretty good, even though we expect him to fight for the podiumThe climb was a bit long, we are waiting for confirmation in Misano »
The manager, however, has no doubts about his driver's potential:
« We are confident that Pecco can regain the speed he has shown us over the past four years, we have no doubt about itThe freeze concerns the engine, we will continue the development: the GP26 will be an evolution of the GP25During the winter, Gigi and the team will think about a solution: In Sepang we will have a more advanced motorcycle than the one we currently have »
Si Ducati savors its sixth consecutive constructors' title, the shadow of doubt still hangs around bagnaia, triple world champion including twice in MotoGP with the red bike, in search of confidence. Misano will be the next crucial step: confirmation of the recovery or a new episode in a tense season.
