In Montmelò, Gigi Dall'Igna celebrated Ducati's sixth consecutive Constructors' Championship title, but the Venetian engineer did not shy away from the hot topics: Francesco Bagnaia's struggles, the growing strength of his rivals and Marc Marquez's show of strength.
Ducati is experiencing a historical golden age: six consecutive constructors' titles (2020–2025), Sept in total. But behind the euphoria, the boss of Ducati Corse reminds us that nothing is ever a given:
« We are really happy to have won our sixth consecutive world title. These numbers impress me more and more every year. ; it's always better »
But the drop in performance of bagnaia haunts too Ducati. Yet, Dall'Igna sweeps away any idea of resignation:
« Abandonment is a bad word; it means that we can't take it anymore and we throw in the towel. I'm not the type to give up.. Even though we have not been successful so far and we have perhaps made the situation worse since the start of the season, I will do everything possible to help Pecco to get back on track with the bike and become the champion he is again »
But how can we achieve this? The Italian is lucid: " That's a good question. If we had known, we would have done better today. Unfortunately, there is no magic formula. We must objectively evaluate what we have accomplished so far and do something different. We believe in Pecco, and Pecco believes in us. : sooner or later we will find a solution »

Gigi Dall’Igna: “ We are all human and, for better or for worse, at some point in our lives we need someone »
And he insists on the human dimension: “ We must always assume that we are all human and that, for better or for worse, at some point in our lives, we need someone. We will try to support Pecco 100%, to get back to motorcycling and become the champion he is again. »
Hegemony Ducati may well have reached its peak. Dall'Igna admits it frankly:
« It's never easy, especially in MotoGP. We're currently performing exceptionally well, and we're aware of that. This will not be the norm in the futureWe see that the others are working well and are gradually getting closer, race after race. We will try to provide our riders with the best possible bike and settings., but it may happen that we are inferior to others: it is possible, and I am sure of it »
Behind the facade of domination, the boss of Ducati lets the wear and tear of an endless fight show through:
« Sooner or later, I'll have to give up: I'll be 60 next year! Winning is hard, and continuing to win is even harder. When the results aren't there, It's really difficult to manage the situation, to find a way to motivate the people who work for you. For me, it's hard to stay competitive, but it's even harder to be truly competitive.. »
Gigi Dall'Igna did not hide from moto.it what distinguishes Marquez of the rest of the clan Ducati :
« It's the confidence you have in the bike that's completely different. Marc has been performing very well since the beginning of the year and his confidence is growing race after race. The others had difficulties, especially at the beginning, and they still have to regain that confidence, which causes more difficulties during the first sessions »
