Luca Marini wants to continue in the same dynamic in Catalonia in order to honor his renewal with Honda with good results.
The news broke at the beginning of the week: Luca Marini will continue in the official Honda team next year. Although his place seemed threatened for a time by Johann Zarco, the Italian has finally obtained the confidence of the manufacturer for an additional year, while the Frenchman has re-signed for two years with the LCR team.
This renewal comes a week after Marini achieved his best Grand Prix of the season, taking fourth place in the sprint race and fifth place in the main race in Hungary. Although he had been rather discreet since the start of the season, not shining with highlights like Zarco or Mir, he displayed metronomic consistency by scoring points every Sunday and not having a single crash in the race.
Now freed from the burden of renewal, the Italian driver wants to continue his momentum after Hungary and build up momentum in order to honor this signing with good results. He remains, however, aware of the reality, the weak points of the RC213V and the specificities of each of the tracks that await him, starting with Barcelona this weekend, and knows that he will have to continue working hard with his team to shine.

We’re entering a good period after a great weekend in Hungary, but you have to understand that Barcelona is a different circuit and we have to keep working hard.
