The 2025 French Grand Prix Sprint at Le Mans saw a Spanish hat-trick with Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo), Alex Marquez (Gresini), and Fermin Aldeguer (Gresini) all on the podium, a first for Ducati in a Sprint. But Pecco Bagnaia's crash, which ended up in the gravel on the second lap, dampened the spirits. Gigi Dall'Igna, Ducati Corse director, gave his analysis to Sky Sport MotoGP, praising the performances while highlighting the mistakes that need to be addressed.
The Sprint Race of the Grand Prix of France offered to Ducati an almost perfect picture. Marc Marquez winner, Alex Marquez second, Fermin Aldeguer on the podium for the first time in MotoGP… An all-Spanish hat-trick on Desmosedicis. But the dream wasn't complete for the Borgo Panigale brand: Pecco Bagnaia, the official rider, ended up in the gravel, the victim of a fall on the second lap.
A striking contrast, that Gigi Dall'Igna, the boss of Ducati Corse, commented lucidly to the microphone of Sky Sport MotoGP: " It was a good race. I'm very happy for Marc and Alex, and I want to congratulate Fermin on his first podium in MotoGP, as a rookie. »
But it's hard not to talk about the shadow on the horizon. Pecco Bagnaia, despite being on the front row, was unable to capitalize. He fell while fighting to stay in the leading group, another error that is starting to weigh heavily in a championship that is gradually slipping away from him...

Gigi Dall'Igna on the fall of Bagnaia: “ I prefer not to make a judgment before having all the evaluations »
« Of course, I feel sorry for Pecco. This morning in qualifying he had some difficulties with the soft tyres and then he crashed in the race. He made a mistake in the Sprint, and the lost points are small, but we must avoid these mistakes ", has followed Dall'Igna.
The technical boss remains cautious about the exact causes of the fall: " he said he had no confidence in the forward. But we have to analyze the data. In fact, I prefer not to make a judgment until I have all the evaluations.. Some difficulties depend on us to help him, to give him a helping hand because, as I often say, The most important thing for a champion is his head. Once you have your head in the right place, it's easier to do everything, it's easier to understand what needs to be done," Explain Dall'Igna.
"I think Pecco needs us right now , and we need him, because I would always like to have two champions fighting to win races,” continued the Italian engineer. "He needs races to warm up and find the right feeling. I think we can fully exploit his potential. But I don't think Pecco will do that, he's going his own way."
While Marc Marquez takes control of the championship, and that the Ducati satellites shine, bagnaia seems trapped by his doubts and the GP25. His team leader is measured, but it is clear that at this level, every point, every fall, every lap not controlled can cost dearly in the race for the title. The Sprint sent a strong signal: the hierarchy at Ducati could change faster than expected.
