Joan Mir France

Joan Mir was injured in the collision at the very beginning of the French Grand Prix, and his participation in the next GP is currently uncertain.

The French Grand Prix Joan mir ended with an injury caused by a collision at the very beginning of the race. A bad luck that put an end to the positive weekend of the Spaniard, who had managed to regain some feeling on the Honda.

Ninth in the sprint race yesterday, he had emphasized that he needed to finish the shopping after his five crashes at the start of the season. This Sunday seemed to be heading in that direction since, despite the rain, he finished first in the Warm-Up. A result of little significance since the riders are essentially making the final adjustments during this short ten-minute session, but which suggested good things.

Unfortunately, the race of Joan mir lasted only one corner. At the start of the second, Enea Bastianini hit Francesco Bagnaia, who fell right in front of him and was unable to avoid him. While the Italian was able to get back on track, the Honda rider was forced to retire. He remained on the ground for a few moments, but eventually got up but was immediately taken to the circuit's medical center before being taken to the hospital for further tests. These revealed a fracture as well as a minor injury.

"He has a fracture in his right hand and neck pain. His condition will be re-monitored in the coming days.", said the Honda HRC team in a statement.

This is a hard blow for the number 36, who has despite himself accumulated a sixth blank result in the championship, and who could add others since his participation in the British Grand Prix in 15 days is for the moment uncertain.
