Those who criticize Formula 1 for its monotonous races should rethink their judgments after this MotoGP German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring. Because while F1 can sometimes be soporific, MotoGP offered a dismal spectacle this Sunday: no fights, only ten bikes at the finish line, and the same podium as every other race.

Marc Marquez, true to his reputation as king of Sachsenring, claimed his tenth victory on this circuit, adding a seventh victory this season to his tally. But despite the brilliance of his triumph, The Spaniard dominated a soulless raceStarting in the lead, he flew away to win with a lead of more than six seconds, even taking his foot off the gas at the finish line, without having to take the slightest risk after the first few laps.

Behind him, it's the same refrain: Alex Marquez inherited second place, while Pecco Bagnaia, despite a quiet weekend, completed the podium. Their strategy? Staying up while their opponents fell one after the other.

The carnage began right from the start with Peter Acosta, then fighting for the podium, victim of a fall. Fabio DiGiannantonio, a solid second, made a mistake, leaving Marco Bezzecchi take his place… before falling in turn with his Aprilia. Johann zarco, although expected for the top 5, also ended up in the gravel.

Only ten motorcycles crossed the checkered flag in Germany

Add two scraps of Lorenzo Savadori, an incident for Miguel Oliveira and a clash between Ai Ogura et Joan mir, and you get a sad picture: only ten motorcycles crossed the checkered flag.

fabio quartararo, he saves the honor of Yamaha with a fourth place, at… 18,7 seconds of the winner. Fermin Aldeguer on Ducati tried to attack him but had to settle for fifth place. alex rins, last to arrive, finished fourteen seconds behind the penultimate but paradoxically achieved his best result of the season, tenth.

Luca marini signs an encouraging return at Honda with a sixth place - certainly due to the massacre in front of him - but which makes him the best driver Honda of the weekend. Brad Binder, the only KTM survivor, finished seventh, while Jack Miller place Yamaha Pramac in eighth place, his best result of the season.

The only Aprilia to finish is that of Raul fernandez, ninth. Three manufacturers only placed one bike at the finish. At this rate, it's high time MotoGP regained some panache — Brno has never seemed so anticipated.
