Marc Marquez continues his show of strength in MotoGP 2025. At Balaton Park, the site of the Hungarian Grand Prix's return after more than thirty years of absence, the Spaniard took pole position, won the Sprint Race, and dominated Sunday's feature race. A perfect weekend that bears his signature style: relentless, methodical, and spectacular.

The 98th victory of a monument

With this success, Marquez records his 72th victory in MotoGP, his 98th in career and above all its tenth Sunday victory of the season, seventh consecutive. Add to that the sprints : it's already been 23 combined successes in 2025A hellish pace that brings the number 93 closer to an anticipated victory, as the gap in the championship becomes abysmal.

The race had not started to the advantage of the pilot Ducati. Author of a good start, he saw himself overtaken by Marco Bezzecchi et Franco Morbidelli, both determined to shake up the boss. But Marquez patiently built his comeback: he resumed Morbidely in the fifth round, then got rid of Bezzecchi in the 11th, despite the heroic resistance of theAprilia.

At the arrival, Marquez left only crumbs: Peter Acosta, impressive on the KTM despite his 7th place on the grid, and Bezzecchi, author of his 14th podium in MotoGP, completed the podium.

Hungary Championship

Behind Marc Marquez, the battle for the places in Hungary

The champion in title George Martin delivered a high-flying performance. Starting 16th, he overtook the field to secure 4th place, a crucial result to revive a difficult season.

Behind, Luca marini distinguished himself as best driver Honda and best representative of Japanese motorcycles. Fifth after resisting Morbidely, the Castrol HRC driver confirms his return to form, after already a fine 4th place in Sprint.

For Pecco Bagnaia, the descent continues. The triple world champion could do no better than 9th, weighed down by a clear lack of pace. He lost his duel for eighth place on the last lap against the KTM freelancer Pol Espargaro, symbol of a season where nothing is going right.

His rival fabio quartararo save the honor of Yamaha with 10th place, despite a penalty inherited from his collision in the Sprint. "El Diablo" is ahead of Ai Ogura, Miguel Oliveira and Alex Rins, his unfortunate companions at Yamaha et Aprilia TrackHouse.

Le Hungarian Grand Prix was also marked by spectacular off-track exits. Enea Bastianini sent shivers through the paddock by dangerously crossing the track after his first-lap crash. Raul Fernandez, Joan Mir, Jack Miller (twice) and Johann zarco also made mistakes, fortunately without injuries.

With 455 points, Marquez is now 175 ahead of his brother Alex, 227 ahead of bagnaia and 258 on BezzecchiAt this rate, the victory could be sealed well before the final round, as the Cervera driver seems untouchable. Marquez has not only won in Hungary : he once again crushed the competition and reminded everyone that 2025 is his year, and no one else's.
