Indonesian Grand Prix

Did you miss the Indonesian Grand Prix? Or simply want to relive the highlights? You've come to the right place! Here's a video recap of what you absolutely shouldn't miss this Sunday at the Mandalika circuit.

As a reminder, the starting grid for the Grand Prix was made up of Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia), Fermín Aldeguer (Ducati) and Raúl Fernández (Aprilia). Behind, followed Alex Rins (yamaha), Peter Acosta (KTM) and Luca marini (Sling). Alex Marquez (Dozens), fabio quartararo (Yamaha) and Marc Márquez (Ducati) made up the third line. Francis Bagnaia (Ducati) was 16th and Johann zarco (Honda) 18th. Note the absence of Maverick Vinales (KTM), which withdrew after qualifying.

When the lights go out, it's Peter Acosta who took the holeshot, in front Luca marini who once again got off to an excellent start from sixth position. Fermín Aldeguer was third, Alex Rins fourth and Raúl Fernández fifth. Marco Bezzecchi missed his start again and ended up seventh, just behind Marc Márquez.

A few turns further, Bezzecchi made a mistake and crashed MárquezBoth men fell at high speed but fortunately got up immediately. Nevertheless, the Spaniard immediately held his shoulder and the verdict came a little later: he suffers from a fracture, probably at the ligament level. He will return to Spain for further examinations and surgery. The Italian had a trip to the hospital but came out unharmed, although extremely sorry for his mistake.

In the second round, Joan mir went off the rails. Two laps later, Aldeguer Doubled Marini for second place, then attacked Acosta on the seventh lap. The KTM rider responded but the rookie Gresini finally had the last word at the start of the eighth lap. At the same time, Francesco Bagnaia, then last, fell. Another nightmare weekend for him.

From the tenth lap onwards, the battle raged for the podium, first between Acosta, Marini et Fernandez. The latter touched, which allowed the pursuers to come back little by little. In the last laps, all rode together, from second to 12th position. Only Johann zarco et Somkiat Chantra were excluded from it, much further away.

The overtaking was incessant and the end of the race was lively. In the end, it was Acosta et Alex Marquez who climbed onto the podium, behind Aldeguer who took his first MotoGP victory and thus became the second youngest winner in history behind Marc Márquez, at 20 years and 183 days. Quarterly finished seventh and zarco 12th, after the abandonment ofEnea Bastianini and the fall of Jack Miller.
