The Grand Prix Sprint MotoGP from Indonesia having presented us with a spectacle as unusual as it was pleasant, we obviously hope that the main race will live up to this Saturday appetizer!

The main ingredient was undoubtedly the unexpected difficulties encountered by the official Ducati, but in the absence of the newly crowned ogre in the foreground Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team), Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing) was able, at the end of a captivating thriller, to once again solidify an increasingly solid momentum. The Italian, who missed his start from pole position, unintentionally gave us a millimeter-perfect comeback to win at the end of the last lap, proving once again that the Aprilia hopes he carries on his shoulders do not make him bow down, quite the contrary. Undeniably, the RS-GP 25 is well born, and some could say  "Ah, if only Jorge Martin were here!" , but the man from Rimini really has nothing to be ashamed of in his work...

In the same case, we find the rookie Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), who thought the big day had arrived. The man from Murcia, the first survivor of the Ducati Armada, couldn't hide his disappointment at the finish, but we're waiting for his performance over 27 laps on a Desmosedici GP24 that seems to appreciate the Indonesian track better than the latest model from Borgo Panigale.

A little further, Raul fernandez (Trackhouse MotoGP Team) and Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) were a sort of echo to the first two mentioned, preceding, once Peter Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) made a mistake, a Joan mir (Honda HRC Castrol) in a positive trend marked by its podium in Japan. The revival of official Hondas (Luca marini crossed the finish line 6th before being penalized) contrasts inexplicably with the poor performances of Johann zarco (CASTROL Honda LCR), yet much more efficient during the dark period of the Tokyo firm...

This is the sixth Sprint victory for Aprilia, the personal tenth for Marco Bezzecchi (his 4th of the season). Fermin Aldeguer takes a brilliant 2nd place, his third Sprint medal, confirming that he is not in MotoGP to learn slowly. And behind, Raul Fernandez achieves his first career podium, a highlight for the young Spaniard.

Many other mysteries will perhaps be solved today, starting with whether the Ducati GP25s will opt for the medium rear Michelin tire to try to achieve better osmosis with the Indonesian track, and how far Marc Marquez will be able to go back up without penalty from Long Lap, and if Francis Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) will have found a configuration allowing it to express its talent...

During the morning warm-up, Marco Bezzecchi took no risks, leaving to fabio quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) the care to shine and thus erase his setbacks of the day before, which he unfortunately was clearly unable to do Francis Bagnaia, despite the fact that Davide Tardozzi has just confirmed on the starting grid that the latter had exactly the same bike this weekend as in Japan...
Unlike their little comrades, the French pilot, as well as Miguel Oliveira, used a soft rear this morning to do their time: will they try the gamble of racing in this configuration?

Indonesia

Unfortunately, the names of the following are not included in the list of entries for the 2025 Indonesian Grand Prix: George Martin (Aprilia Racing), broken collarbone in Japan, Ai Ogura (Trackhouse MotoGP Team), still suffering from his crash at Misano, and Maverick Vinales (Red Bull KTM Tech3) out until the Valencia test.

While waiting to discover more, as the 19 drivers prepare, under a clear sky with temperatures of 30° in the air and 59° on the ground, for this 27-lap Grand Prix, let's take advantage of these few moments of live coverage thanks to the official website MotoGP.com :
