This is terrible! Marc Marquez, the 2025 MotoGP world champion, apparently suffered an injury during the Indonesian Grand Prix, as confirmed by Ducati factory team principal Davide Tardozzi during the race! We tell you everything.
It all started on the first lap, when polesitter Marco Bezzecchi (again) messed up his start. In an effort to quickly regain positions, the Italian attempted to attack Marc Marquez in a very ambitious manner, and this resulted in both riders crashing. This very impressive collision resulted in a very heavy crash for Marquez, while Bezzecchi initially got away with it. even though he also made a detour via the infirmary. On the ground, Marquez was groggy and took a long time to get up. Once on his feet, he immediately held his right arm, the one that has already been operated on numerous times since 2020. Terrible, for someone who had just completed a majestic comeback after all these years of suffering.

New fracture for Marquez in MotoGP
During the race, DORNA journalist Jack Appleyard handed the microphone to Davide Tardozzi, Ducati Lenovo Team Principal. He was already adamant. « Obviously there is a fracture in the right shoulder"We still need to do further tests to see if an operation will be necessary." he declared.
New information emerged shortly after: Dr. Charte, present on the circuit, confirmed Tardozzi's statements: "There is a small fracture in the right shoulder" as reported by Motosan. « Marc is fine, calm and conscious. He feels slight pain. The trauma directly affected the shoulder of the affected arm, and the X-ray we took here initially shows a small fracture. But there is some confusion because it is the arm that has already been operated on, which can partially obscure the diagnosis. The only way to be sure is to do a scan and see exactly what's there." he added.
The Spanish driver will be immediately transferred to Madrid for further tests. For now, the fracture has been diagnosed as minor, and we will keep you updated on developments as the diagnosis may change over the hours.
UPDATE:
We have just received reports that suggest a possible rupture of the clavicle ligaments. Randy de Puniet, Canal + consultant and former MotoGP rider, believes that his « season is over ».
