Lorenzo Rossi

As the tenth anniversary of the 2015 Sepang scandal approaches, testimonies are multiplying about this period marked by rivalries. Jorge Lorenzo, a five-time world champion who has faced Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner, Dani Pedrosa, Marc Marquez and other great riders, recently spoke about this historic season, from which he emerged victorious, much to the dismay of his teammate Rossi, who felt and still feels robbed. Here's what he had to say about it.

Jorge Lorenzo, known for his sharp temper and incredible talent behind the wheel, had some strong words for his former teammate Valentino Rossi. « He placed more importance on racing and pace than pole positions.. Besides, he has many more wins than poles. It was easier to beat him in one lap. He was a very complete driver; he had very few weak points. He didn't have the talent of Stoner or Márquez, but he was good in every way. His media influence was impressiveIt was very difficult to face him. Valentino won more duels against me than Márquez. he declared for DAZN as reported Motosan.

Of course, he mentioned that famous 2015 Malaysian Grand Prix, in which he finished second while Rossi clashed with Marc Marquez behind. « It was perhaps the most physical race I have ever done. ; it was very hot. I managed to escape from Rossi and Márquez, but it wasn't easy. In the first laps, I was very close to Pedrosa. I didn't see anything of Marc and Rossi on the screens. Until I came out into the hallway, up to the podium, and they explained to me what had happened, that Rossi had kicked Marc, that he had fallen, and that an investigation was underway.. It shocked me, because we're not used to seeing two riders pushing each other so clearly at the start. The knee moved and Marc fell. I didn't remember leaving the podium prematurely. I acted like a football player, who exaggerates to the maximum with gestures to defend his position. I was annoyed that Rossi wasn't penalized, that the black flag wasn't raised. I would have been the leader at that moment. Márquez was fighting hard, but Valentino's action in that corner was clear, he not only tried to overtake him, but to push him off the track" he added.
