Marco Bezzecchi has put himself in a strong position for third place thanks to his victory. and his bronze medal acquired yesterday in the Sprint, but Pecco Bagnaia and Pedro Acosta will fight for fourth place in Valencia, the last round of the championship!
This Portuguese Grand Prix has shaken up the established order. Pecco Bagnaia, who finished fourth behind Marco Bezzecchi, leaves Portugal 35 points adrift of his friend. With 37 points up for grabs each weekend, it's practically over. This is all the more incredible given that Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, congratulated Bagnaia on his third place in the overall standings earlier in the weekend! Indeed, as crazy as it may seem, Pedro Acosta, on fire since mid-season, has closed to within three points of the factory Ducati rider. Comparing their recent form, there's no suspense: Acosta is consistently putting in strong races, while Bagnaia has suffered four consecutive retirements, something he hadn't experienced since his rookie season (2019).

On the Honda side, Johann Zarco, With his ninth place, he maintains an eleven-point lead over Luca Marini in the coveted title of best driver for the golden-winged marque.. Particular attention will be paid to Fermin Aldeguer and Fabio Quartararo in Valencia: the two men are separated by only five points for eighth place in the general classification, with the Spaniard currently in the advantage.
