The press conference at the end of the Grand Prix from Portugal MotoGP 2025 met in Portimão Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing), Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) and Peter Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) for their post-race debriefing.

Marco Bezzecchi has won his second MotoGP victory since joining Aprilia this year, following his win at Silverstone.
This is his fifth victory across all categories in MotoGP.
He is still third in the MotoGP World Championship, but now has a 35-point lead over Francesco Bagnaia, thus more than likely securing the final podium.

Aprilia secured his third MotoGP victory this season, following Silverstone (Bezzecchi) and Raul Fernandez's win (Australia). This is the first time they have won
more than two wins in a single MotoGP season.

As usual, we report here in its entirety his words, without the slightest formatting, even if it is translated from English.

🎤 Hello everyone, and welcome to the post-race MotoGP press conference for the 2025 Portuguese Grand Prix, sponsored by Qatar Airways.
We find Marco Bezzecchi on the top step of the podium, victorious from start to finish with Aprilia Racing, thus giving the brand its most successful season in MotoGP, with three victories in total, two of which were achieved by Marco.
Alongside him, yesterday's winner, today second, Alex Márquez of BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP, who achieves another harvest of valuable points.
And finally, Pedro Acosta, of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, third, after a great battle for the victory, he was coming back strong, but he probably needed one or two more laps to try his luck.

Marco, let's start with you.
In recent races, you often seemed to have the pace to win, but bad luck, a penalty, or an incident got in the way. Just yesterday, you could have hoped for a little more, but today, everything went perfectly: you set your own pace and broke away on your own.
You must be very happy about this victory…
Marco Bezzecchi: "Yes, I am, I'm super happy."

🎤 Please don't stop there…
Marco Bezzecchi: "(laughs) No, no, I'm really super happy, because of course, it's fantastic to win a victory.
As you said, yesterday I was happy but not completely satisfied, because when you start from pole position, you inevitably hope for something more.
But yesterday, Alex, especially, and also Pedro, were stronger than me.
So I spent the evening with my team in the pit box, analyzing where I could improve, and where we could progress together. We found something that helped me compensate for my weaknesses, and from the warm-up onwards, I understood that I could fight for the win.
The race was really excellent, so I'm very, very happy!

🎤 This season has been interesting for you, obviously. You and Jorge (who isn't here today) are both new to Aprilia this year, and it seems that as the season has progressed, especially on Sundays, you and the Aprilia have become the package to beat.
Of course, Marc and Ducati have often been the benchmark, just like Alex with his Ducati. Do you think you're now at that level, or even close to them? How have you progressed? Do you think that today, you and Aprilia are the best?
And finally, with this season being Aprilia's most successful in history with three victories, do you believe that Aprilia has really taken the next step to face Ducati on equal terms?
Marco Bezzecchi: "Well, that's a difficult question, but let's just say we've managed to make progress day by day. Of course, I've always believed in this project, and I've always had confidence in my bike, in the engineers and in the whole factory, who have always worked in an exemplary manner."
It's true that we struggled a bit at the beginning, but then we managed to improve. For the moment, it's certain that we're not yet at Marc's or Alex's level.
I think we can compete with Pedro, who was also very strong in the second half of the season.
But we still have work to do, we need to keep improving, and I hope we'll reach their level soon.

🎤 Alex just said that he was the fastest in the last sector until yesterday, and that apparently you found something there today.
Can you explain a little about what you found?
Marco Bezzecchi: "I don't know exactly. Let's just say I had the opportunity to see Alex for many laps yesterday, and my lines weren't the best."
But it's also true that the guys in the pit box did something to help me be less aggressive on the bike, to let the bike turn a bit more freely on its own. And then, I had good confidence in the front end after that change, so everything started to go a bit better.
I think it's a mix of all of that.
