With just 0,088s separating the top three at the end of the first day in Portimão and Practice evolving right up to its final seconds, the start of the Grand Prix MotoGP Portugal did not disappoint us and we hope the rest of the weekend in the Algarve will be of the same caliber!

From the morning onwards, it's Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) which led the way, before confirming it in the afternoon with a time of 1'37.974, while Francis Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) and Peter Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) followed the #73 very closely in what turned out to be a brilliant Friday afternoon in the premier class of Grand Prix racing.

In a tense session due to the changing weather, everyone initially started on soft tires to establish a benchmark. This proved to be a wise move, as a light drizzle followed, failing to dampen the enthusiasm and lap times of the world's best drivers.

It was therefore necessary to wait until the very last moments of the session to establish a hierarchy, the Top 10 completed by Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing), Joan mir (Honda HRC Castrol), Johann zarco (CASTROL Honda LCR), Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team), Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), Espargaro Pol (Red Bull KTM Tech3) and Ai Ogura (Trackhouse MotoGP Team) appearing in less than half a second.

Q2 is shaping up to be exciting, and Q1 should be no less so, with Luca marini (Honda HRC Castrol), franc Morbidely (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team), fabio quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) and Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) apparently all capable of making it into the first four rows of the starting grid…

Faced with these furious fans, the "rookie substitute" Nicholas Bulega (Ducati Lenovo Team) did not disgrace themselves by conceding only one second to the day's leader, and may be securing their place in MotoGP in 2027…

While we wait to discover more, as the 22 pilots prepare, under a Mostly blue skies but with a drying runwayWith air temperatures of 17°C and ground temperatures of 20°C, for this final 30-minute training session, let's enjoy these few moments of live coverage thanks to the official website.
