Fabio Quartararo believes he gave everything during the Portuguese GP, but the Yamaha's performance did not allow him to aim for the podium.
fabio quartararo concluded another positive Grand Prix considering Yamaha's significant difficulties this season. He managed, in fact, to to secure the front row in qualifyingbut also to maintain a presence in the leading group during both races. This remains the Achilles' heel of the M1, capable of providing the performance necessary for the Frenchman to shine on a single lap, but also prone to inconsistency in race pace.
While some Yamaha riders had managed to gain pace in recent Grands Prix, this time the basic scenario returned in Portugal, with a Quarterly capable of riding at the front, and the other three in great difficulty at the bottom of the standings.
Yesterday, number 20 secured a solid fourth place in the sprint race, while the other representatives finished 14th, 16th and 17th. This Sunday, he had slightly more difficulty but managed to resist the attacks of his opponents for a long time to finally take sixth place at the finish, while Jack Miller, Miguel Oliveira and Álex Rins finished in 12th, 13th and 14th places.

Si Quarterly cannot fully celebrate his performance, although he did his best, he has learned to be satisfied with the maximum that the Yamaha could give him, and therefore heads towards the last Grand Prix of the season in Valencia with the same mindset.
“I think we did a good job. My technical team and I did the best we could with what we had. We try to optimize our bike as much as possible, and I think it was a pretty good weekend. Unfortunately, it's not what we wanted, but we accept this sixth place.”, he declared on the microphone of Canal +.
“We know we don’t have the potential to finish on the podium, but we’re doing our best. As I said, we’re trying to optimize what we have, and also, as a driver, I want to push myself to the limit. I raced at 100% of my capacity, unfortunately, it’s a sixth-place finish. My job is to try to achieve the best possible results, to improve as a driver, to gain as much experience as possible for the future, and then we’ll see.”
