Marc Marquez swept the Sprint Race of the 2025 Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez, securing his fifth victory in five Sprints, already equaling Jorge Martin's record from last year. The eight-time world champion, despite finishing second in Q5, dominated the 5 laps, beating his brother Alex Marquez (Gresini, GP2) by 2 seconds. Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo, GP12), third, completed the podium, capitalizing on the crash of Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), a heroic polesitter who was defeated after just two laps.

Marc Marquez is literally on fire. The pilot Ducati left no chance for his rivals this Saturday by winning his fifth consecutive Sprint Race of the season in Jerez, equaling Jorge Martin's record in the process. And he didn't just win: he stunned the competition with a show of strength.

« The failure to get pole position did not affect me ", he said Marquez in boss mode after his victory. As soon as the lights went out, he took control and never let go. Behind him, his brother Alex Marquez (Ducati Gresini) limited the damage and finished 1,001 seconds behind. Not bad, but clearly not enough to dislodge Marc. " We are making progress, but Marc is on another planet », conceded Alex.

Pecco Bagnaia, for his part, suffered. The reigning champion saved an almost miraculous third place after taking advantage of the fall of fabio quartararo, who went on the attack and ended up in the gravel.
