Raul Fernandez was simply monstrous in Valencia! While still recovering from his massive crash at Portimao, the Trackhouse Aprilia rider managed to qualify fourth in the final round of the season. He held that position throughout the Sprint, which understandably gave him a lot of satisfaction. After his victory in Australia, he seems completely energized. He shared his thoughts following his performance.
He himself did not expect to display such a high level on this track, which had nevertheless already been successful for him in the past. « If someone had told me five days ago that I would finish fourth and fight for the podium for so long, I wouldn't have believed it. But in the end, I'm really happy. We made a mistake with the soft front tire. But in the end, I still managed a good sprint and I felt good on the bike. we read on speedweek.

Clearly, a major change took place mid-season, and since then, it has been one of the most consistent. « Since the Misano tests, I've been riding the bike more easily."I don't know why, but we've significantly improved the electronics this year.", highlighted the tenth-placed team in the championship. « Last year we generally had problems with the bumps on the track, but it's much better now. And the rear tire wear is also less. That really helps me a lot. We've already felt these improvements in Japan, Mandalika, Phillip Island, and Portugal. We work well together » he continued.

Unfortunately, satisfaction doesn't make the pain disappear. He assures everyone that he will be there tomorrow, perhaps helped by painkillers. « Of course, I'll start, but I might need to take medicationThe doctors had already advised me to take painkillers for Saturday. but I preferred to try the sprint without medication to see how it goes. » he concluded.
