The news is out! Miguel Oliveira, five-time MotoGP winner, has just made official its departure for the WSBK category at the start of 2026. very discreet since the middle of the 2023 MotoGP season, the Portuguese is currently experiencing difficult times with Pramac Yamaha. He will join the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK team in 2026, thus forming a very experienced rider duo with Danilo Petrucci.

BMW is swapping riders: while Toprak Razgatlioglu will be discovering MotoGP at Pramac Racing, Miguel Oliveira will be doing the opposite. Brad Binder had said that he was "too fast not to be on the grid", but it is clear that the opportunity was very attractive at this point in his career. Thus, he could find himself on a motorcycle competing to win a prestigious championship.
