After four days of riding a MotoGP bike, between the Valencia test in November and the Shakedown last week, Diogo Moreira knew his very first crash in the premier categoryThe young Brazilian crashed at high speed in turn 5 yesterday, during the opening day of the Sepang test, but got up without incident.
“I was on worn tires and trying to push a bit harder, and in the end the crash happened. Turn 5 is a fast corner, so it was a quick crash, but in the end I'm okay. And even the bike, after that, was fine to get back on the track.”, he declared on the microphone of MotoGP.comwho also shared the video of his fall on social media, since no live broadcasts are taking place during these three days. Moreira was then seen debriefing about his fall with Marc Márquezlaughing about it casually, also in the presence of Johann zarco whose voice can be heard in another video shared by MotoGP.com on Instagram, which you can also discover by clicking below.
"You go fast when you fall off these motorcycles. When you fall, you realize how fast you were going."commented issue #93, while Moreira Explain : “I was in front of him [Zarco, editor’s note], and I said 'I’m going to attack'. After four corners… Completely crazy! My whole leg is covered in bruises.”
Márquez he replies with a smile "No worries, we've all fallen once."to which the Brazilian adds "It was about time!"
His fall, however, disrupted the rest of his day's schedule, and Moreira He ultimately finished with the 19th fastest time. He has been back on track since this morning for the second day of testing.
