MotoGP: A world champion rider is going to retire from the world championship!

The announcement came as a shock to the paddock this morning. Indeed, a Grand Prix world champion has just announced that he will no longer be competing in the world championship next year, to everyone's surprise. It is Albert Arenas, 28 years old. won the Moto3 title at the end of the 2020 season, while he was playing with Aspar. The Gresini Moto2 rider announced this morning on his social media that he will be leaving the world championship at the end of this season. This is very sad news, because, obviously, Albert Arenas still has a lot of talentAdmittedly, he wasn't the greatest champion of all time in 2020, a unique year in which he only won twice, but since then he has shown great signs of progress! After two difficult seasons in Moto2, he bounced back well in 2023, with his first podium finish. Then he moved to Gresini, where he had an average 2024 season, but a respectable 2025 season..

At the time of writing, Albert Arenas is in ninth position in the general classification, with a second place achieved at Mugello to his credit. "Superman" will therefore no longer be in the world championship next year, but it is likely that he will bounce back elsewhere.
