For the 5th round of the Baggers, the championship MotoAmerica returns to the Great Lakes region, to Mid-Ohio, a circuit only returned last year after a 10-year absence in Lexington.

Located 120 kilometers south of Cleveland, the restricted track measures 2,4 miles (3.8 km) and has 15 turns connected by a broken straight, which nevertheless allows for high speeds.

The situation in the championship is clear regarding the championship leader Kyle Wyman(Harley-Davidson x Dynojet Factory Racing) owning on a Loris Baz (S&S/Indian Motorcycle) still threatened by the reigning champion, his teammate Troy Herfoss (S&S/Indian Motorcycle).

As usual, this Friday included the only free practice session before the first qualifying, lasting 30 minutes each.
At the end of the Free Practice, surprise, the times are spaced out and it is the unofficial team RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson which leads the way with Hayden Gillim before Rocco Landers.
The headliners are further away, much further away, with
Troy Herfoss more than a second, Loris Baz more than 2 seconds, and Kyle Wyman more than 3!

But if the times have tightened, far from being denied, this hierarchy was confirmed in the first qualification, by presenting an almost exact copy with the exception of the progression of Kyle Wyman in the ranking!
The intriguing session was marked by a minor fall of
Tyler O'Hara (S&S/Indian Motorcycle) then the frightening fall of Bradley Smith
(Harley-Davidson x Dynojet Factory Racing) who was unfortunately hit by his 350-kilogram machine. We are waiting for news that we hope will be reassuring from the British rider who got up visibly very shocked.
Bradley Smith had a scary crash during Mission King Of The Baggers Qualifying today, thankfully he was able to walk away. We hope for a speedy recovery. #Motorsports #Motorcycle #racing #Baggers #HarleyDavidson pic.twitter.com/YYmRVgYz8m

Much less serious, a penalty imposed on Loris Baz for speeding in the pit lane.
