The second edition of the Moto d'Oro, which concluded a year of great success for the Italian Motorcycle Federation in 2025, took place on Wednesday, December 10 at the Galli Theatre in Rimini, showcasing the transalpine stars of the various categories of motorcycle competition.

Italy has no shortage of champions, and last year, for its inaugural edition, the ceremony honored Giacomo Agostini, Francis Bagnaia et Davide Tardozzi with regard to speed.

This week, in the magnificent setting of the Adriatic seaside resort, it was the turn of Nadia Padovani, Massimo rivola et Marco Bezzecchi to be logically celebrated, in view of their 2025 season.
For having revolutionized the visual identity and design of local motorcycling, starting with the run-off areas of the nearby Misano circuit, the artist Aldo Drudi was also rewarded.

The past has not been forgotten, however, with Luca Cadalora receiving an award given to those who, through their exploits on circuits around the world, and with at least two world titles, have contributed to spreading the values of motorcycling.

But the most moving moment was undoubtedly, after a somewhat hesitant entrance onto the stage, the presentation of an award to a true legend of motorcycling: the Dr. Claudio Costawho received the distinction “A life dedicated to motorcycling” for, well before the era of MotoGP, having introduced the Mobile Clinic in Grand Prix and having taken care of hundreds, and probably thousands, of more or less injured drivers (see his story here).

After 45 years of faithful service, what was a truly irreplaceable institution has given way to the semi-trailer of Chiron preventionBut the man has not been forgotten...

This recognition was also awarded to Bruno Appolloni, historical memory of the Italian Federation, holder of its first license in 1956 and author of a book dedicated to the 100 years of the FMI.

In addition to the legends, the 2025 World Champions were also recognized, with awards given to individual champions as well as to the winners of the Six Days Enduro and the Trial of Nations.
Numerous awards were then presented to the Motorcycle Clubs that distinguished themselves during the year in various fields.

The ceremony was enhanced by the presence of the Italian Army band which accompanied the event, making this evening unforgettable for the very large audience that filled the Galli Theatre, thus offering an exceptional spectacle.

In MotoGP, Italy has 6 representatives, or 27% of the grid, compared to 9 for Spain (40%), 2 for France (9%) and 1 for the other countries (4,5%).

Giovanni Copioli, President of the IMF: "It was a great emotion to see so many Champions and their stories celebrate motorcycling once again at this second edition of the Moto d'Oro. A unique event, magnified by an exceptional location and the presence of a fantastic crowd."
This evening was an unparalleled celebration, during which we wanted to recognize the commitment of great athletes, but also that of the people who, working behind the scenes, have contributed to strengthening the passion for motorcycling.
A festive and diverse event, an opportunity to experience our passion with a lighthearted touch. I conclude by thanking the City of Rimini for its hospitality and collaboration, the Italian Army for the presence of its band, and Serena Autieri for her splendid presentation.
