It is a historic event which went unnoticed during the last British Grand Prix at Silverstone. And it happened in Moto3. For the first time, in fact, a driver from the United States rode for an official competition in the Grand Prix entry category. His name is Brendon Paasch. Even if he didn't shine, he planted his star-spangled banner in the paddock.

Brendon Paasch entered the history of Grands Prix and its statistics. How ? Thanks to his passport with United States stamped on it, which he presented before joining the Moto3 peloton. Aged 18, he was on a KTM at Silverstone. Since the start of the new Moto3 World Championship equipped with the 250cc four-stroke single-cylinder in 3, no American has yet participated in this category. We owe this moment to the FPW Racing team.

Paasch comes from Freehold, New Jersey, and this year's focus is the Moto3 class of the British Superbike Championship (BSB). He was already fifth in the 200 miles at Daytona in 2019 and fifth in the British Moto3 series. He was also the first American to qualify for the Moto3 Junior World Championship and won the 390 KTM-2016 Cup in America.

After the first day at Silverstone, Paasch was running 3,4 seconds behind and was 31st and last. He finished the British Grand Prix in the same position, but 29e, more than a minute from the winner Marcos Ramirez.
