Le Japan Mobility ShowThe Tokyo Motorcycle Show, successor to the Tokyo Motor Show, has become the preferred stage for Japanese manufacturers eager to showcase their vision of the future. This year, Honda took center stage with a spectacular concept: the EV Outlier. A synthesis of Honda's intentions for the future, combining a bold vision of electric mobility with a strategic overhaul of its brand identity.
Inspired by previous prototypes EV Fun et EV Urban presented at EICMA, the Honda EV Outlier embodies the brand's philosophy of extreme innovation. Led by the designer Yuya TsutsumiThe project explores a new form of mobility: an electric motorcycle all-wheel drive, with a motor integrated into each wheel.
This unique architecture allows for an instant and smooth response to the accelerator, while automatically adjusting the power distribution between the front and rear according to driving conditions.
La central batteryIntegrated into the heart of the chassis, it contributes to a low center of gravity, while the horizontal double-shock suspension demonstrates the concept's concern for dynamic balance.
The radically different design combines a front body that acts as both a windshield and aerodynamic wing, a low, spoon-shaped seat, massive tires, and a digital cockpit worthy of a spacecraft. side cameras replace the classic rearview mirrors, confirming the visionary approach of Honda.
But the concept is not limited to performance or style. Tsutsumi revealed a broader ambition:
« There’s nothing quite like a A connection with the user's personal data is being considered.offering personalized driving control based on individual skill level and suggesting destinations according to the driver's schedule and preferences »
A promise that evokes a complete integration between the motorcyclist and the machine, at the crossroads of artificial intelligence and sensory experience.

A revolution in image: Honda changes its logo
Beyond the product, Honda is making a symbolic shift: the brand's historic wing will no longer fly on all its motorcycles.
The manufacturer is now introducing three distinct visual identities:
- On internal combustion motorcycles will retain the iconic golden wing, a symbol of freedom and speed.
- On electric models will adopt a minimalist logo, composed solely of the word Honda, in a modernized typography inspired by the electric vehicles of the car brand.
- Finally, flagship models – such as the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, Gold Wing and Rebel 1100 – will inaugurate the Honda Flagship Wing, a more refined three-dimensional emblem.
According to HondaThis new visual architecture will make it possible to “clarify the nature of each motorcycle” and to strengthen the brand’s overall positioning in the era of electrification.
This highly symbolic change marks a break. Since the 1940s, the wing Honda embodied the promise of free, fast and reliable mobility.
By revisiting it, Honda recognizes that electrification calls for a new aesthetic and emotional language, without denying its roots.
THEEV Outlier This perfectly illustrates the passing of the torch: between tradition and revolution, between mechanics and software. A concept motorcycle that, more than a prototype, announces the direction that will follow Honda in the next decade — that of a manufacturer that wants to electrify the future without losing its soul.
