Un Nicholas Bulega in a state of grace dominated Race 1 of the WorldSBK in Jerez, postponing the Superbike world title celebration for his great rival Toprak Razgatlioglu.

The championship inertia, however, remains firmly on the side of BMW's Turkish ace: with 37 points still at stake, he will need just three points, in other words a mere seventh place in Sunday morning's Superpole Race, to secure his third world title.
Whatever happens, Bulega will have nothing to reproach himself for: dominant since Friday morning, the Italian continued his winning ways with a resounding victory, a logical continuation of a weekend that he dominated from start to finish.

“Get out of the way!”
Toprak Razgatlioglu got off to a determined start, but from turn 5, Nicolo Open up imposed himself on the inside with authority: a slight contact of fairing was enough to make the Turk understand that there would be no concessions.
The BMW then found itself in the duel between Andrea Iannone et alex lowes, losing two precious seconds in this frenzied first-round battle. At that point, any chance of victory, and therefore of a title today, had already vanished.

After losing contact with Toprak Razgatlioglu, he took out his claws in front of Alvaro Bautista, who, not without difficulty, ended up winning to take third place on the podium.
Until the end, Iannone had to contain the official Honda of Xavi Virgo, particularly threatening in the final laps, but the Italian held on, securing a precious fourth place, a real coup to conclude his season.

The show will continue from Tuesday, October 21, still on the Andalusian circuit, with the first winter test of the 2026 season, bringing together several official and private teams.
