When Pif Gadget, an institution for boomers and subsequent generations, takes an interest in Ornella Ongaro, one of our three regular representatives in WorldWCR with Lucie Boudesseul et Emily Bondi, it is an excellent sign to interest the youngest among us in motorcycle competition, even if in this case it is done indirectly.

Eugene: Hi Ornella, do you know Pif and Hercules?
Ornella Ongaro : Yes, absolutely, that's my generation. I watched the cartoon when I was little. She hums “Pif and Hercules”.
Eugene: How old were you when you first rode a motorcycle?
Ornella : It was at the age of 6, at the legal age where you can start, with a mini motorcycle, a Piwi 50.
Eugene: All alone?
Ornella : Yes. Ah, that's my thing, as soon as I get on it, hop there!
Eugene: Did you imagine becoming a champion and at what age?
Ornella : So, viscerally, deep down, yes, I thought I was going to succeed, because it's the thing I do best. Afterwards, at what age, no, I had never asked myself that. But as soon as I started, as soon as I competed with the little boys, I won.
Eugene: Did you compete when you were around 10 or 11?
Ornella : At 6 years old.
Eugene: 6 years old!
Ornella : Yes, I won at 6 years old, the legal age. So yes, I thought I was going to be champion.
