Yamaha Motor Company celebrates its 70th anniversary this year and the celebrations will continue until 2026, as the Supersport range will be available in a new eye-catching and evocative 70th anniversary color palette.
Inspired by the iconic colors of the 1999 R7, a limited edition Focused on competition, the white and red color scheme is reminiscent of Yamaha's Supersport models that marked the 1990s.
The 70th anniversary colors were unveiled earlier this year when The Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP and Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP teams sported a unique livery at the Assen TT circuit., on the occasion of the kickoff of Yamaha's 70th anniversary celebrations. The Yamaha Racing Team also sported the 70th anniversary colors during the prestigious race of Suzuka 8 Hourswhere the pilots Jack Miller, Andrea Locatelli and Katsuyuki Nakasuga finished in second place on the podium.
Otherwise, The Yamaha teams from the FIM Superbike World Championship and the FIM Supersport World Championship raced in October at the Circuito de Jerez with liveries inspired by this colour.
In 2026, the R125, R3, the new R7 and R9 models will be available in the 70th anniversary white and red color scheme.combining a high-quality pearly white with a vibrant and sporty red and black, enhanced by historical graphics Speedblock. The logo of each model is displayed as in the 1990s, while the iconic tuning fork logo is gold, rather than silver, like Yamaha's factory racing motorcycles.
The Supersport range will also be available with the standard Icon Blue and Black colours for 2026.
