Admittedly at a much faster pace than in the first season, Canal + Sport continues the broadcast of its series "Team Zarco" dedicated to the behind-the-scenes aspects of the rider's professional activity MotoGP Johann zarco.

Only three episodes this year, not counting of course the exceptional special edition Le Mans, compared to ten in the first season, but this last chapter, covering the period between Brno and Valencia, perfectly summarizes the slump experienced by the French champion in the second half of the season, as it perfectly summarizes itself: "I really struggled, I really struggled. There was the victory at Suzuka, which is no small feat. But normally, a victory at Suzuka should be achieved with three riders. And we achieved it with two riders!"
And actually, yes, it's doable, we won, but it completely drained me.
I'm back in Austria, and I see that the factory drivers have been able to test new parts, they've taken the time to test aerodynamics, a chassis, an engine, so I'm hearing all sorts of new things. I see that they're starting to push hard, and I'm not allowed to try.
And in my head it's "the others, they've had their holidays, wives, children, relaxed, we come back, we have time to test, 'ah that's good. We take it and we start to perform'."
And here I was, doing all the results and then, 'no break', you come back, you say to yourself 'Come on, help me' and they tell you 'No, wait'.
It actually wrecked me morally!

And so they tell you 'well, take the new motorcycle now'.
'Ah, thank you!', and I was expecting to say 'okay, I'm going back to beating the official drivers'. But no, it didn't work out like that.
It worked, but the bike reacted differently. You can feel that it's better, but I lose confidence and as soon as I push it, I crash.”

Filmed mainly in Valencia, this final chapter concludes a season where Johann zarco actually committed 28 fouls.
At the beginning of the year, he had set himself two goals, one achieved, the other not.

During the 25 minutes of this video, he details these and pleasantly shares, as is his custom, technical and mental explanations with more intimate and personal moments.

So even though the report is complete, let's take this opportunity to send a little message to Canal+: "Three episodes, is that really enough to cover the entire 22 Grand Prix season of Jojo in depth? We want more! 🙂"
