This year, Brembo presents the data concerning the Austin circuit in the form of an animation requiring a little more time to download (don't forget to press the player button at the bottom of the animation)...

5513 meters long, the Texan track is generally considered moderately demanding on the brakes (ranked three on a scale of five) despite 13 braking zones, a number only matched by the Losail circuit in Qatar. Among these, it includes at least three zones of very strong decelerations.

The first is at turn number 1, directly at the end of the pit straight where the bikes then go from 297 km/h to around 57 km/h in 230 meters.

Turn 11 also requires heavy braking, but the most demanding turn is number 12 which is characterized by a braking distance of 322 meters.

In total, drivers brake for 37 seconds during a lap usually completed in just over two minutes.
